Tom Narrates For The Failed Cities Monologues
(November 16, 2006)
Sudden Death's own Tom Rockwell has been asked to narrate one of the characters for The Failed Cities Monologues. The first of these recordings is now available on PodioBooks.com.
The Failed Cities Monologues is a production of the Variant Frequencies podcast of science fiction, fantasy, horror, "and some odd bands in between." The story takes place in a futuristic city that has been divided in two. On one side of the river is an unfinished technological marvel where the rich live, work, and play. The other side contains a forsaken wasteland. A sense of order is maintained by a grass roots organization called The Street Preachers. But the Street Preachers are being manipulated and drawn into a civil war.
The story is told from the point of view of the individual characters. Tom plays Sterne, a struggling writer who makes ends meet by fighting in back alleys on the weekends. He finds himself caught in the middle of the conflict quite unintentionally, and put up against a brother and sister team who are legendary in the world of torture and assassination.
Variant Frequencies is available at www.variantfrequencies.com. The Failed Cities Monologues are being re-recorded for PodioBooks.com.
