Blogger and RSS Help Needed - UPDATE: FIXED
(January 26, 2010)
OK, I figured it out. For some reason the videos in episodes 4 and 5 weren't actually being defined as enclosures, which is necessary for the files to be transmitted. There was a setting on the Blogger feed called Show Link Fields (under Formatting) that was set to No. When I changed that to Yes I was able to manually tell the site to attach the videos as enclosures. That did it.
Thanks, everyone, for your feedback and suggestions!
I need some help. I don't know what's going on but the RSS feed for my video podcast The Working Indie Musician stopped working after episode 3. Episode 4 was posted on September 23rd, and episode 5 was posted on January 22nd.
For reasons of time and resources I'm not creating my own RSS feed, hosting the files, or anything. I'm simply using a Blogger account and posting the videos as part of the content. This worked fine with the first three posts but the last two aren't showing up and I can't figure out why.
I have submitted the show to iTunes and they picked it up just the other day, but now it looks like the show hasn't been updated since August.
The main blog is at http://workingindiemusician.blogspot.com. I don't see any difference between the first three episodes and the last two. I know iTunes is picky about feeds. The FuMP feed breaks occasionally if the artists put ampersands or parentheses anywhere in the content, or the MP3 file has spaces in the file name. It doesn't like smart quotes either. But I don't see any of that stuff in the last two posts.
If you look at the feed in a browser it shows all five episodes, but only the first three have media attachments. I know the feed fails to validate, but since I'm using Blogger I don't have any control over the generation of the feed. It's created automatically based on the content.
Please, if anyone has any idea what the problem could be either leave a comment or email me. I'm stumped.
